Once more I stand with shielded eyes, Against the noonday sun. Echoes of my childhood days, Combine with seabirds cries.
I see the rockpools where Id spend Long hours as a child. Enthralled by creatures of the sea, The ocean was my friend.
I feel the glistening crystal spray, I hear the crashing waves. Sweet ocean music to my ears, A perfect summers day.
And as I look with older eyes, I smile as I recall, Those treasured memories once more, The days of cloudless skies.
Every year when I was small, my parents took me to visit Aunty Betty who lived up north. We always went by train as neither of my parents drove. Quite an adventure!
We always spent one day on Cullercoats beach and it was the best time ever, just me and the rock pools and my growing fascination at the wonders of nature.
Very sweet and charming! I bet you enjoyed those trips a lot. :) Beautiful images. Thanks for sharing. :)
