Threaded Sentience:

Threaded Sentience:

Life spins so delicate, nimble fingers plucking strings
Threading seeds in fertile soil while springtime rains
Birth the rolling fields of movement and living things
First begin to peek through the shroud innocent to pains
Yet, there upon the horizons, a shadow is faintly cast
A budding thunderstorm of humanity, coiled and ready
When memories collide and future descends upon the past
Then shall those rains fall, cold, tempered and steady
Phases rise and set, golden, crimson azure and violets
Breath swirls with incandescent mists like the wind of ghosts
And while Man mans the helm of this ship, What pilots?
I ask, for I am but a humble servant to the magnitude and hosts
That plague this mind as I scribe events composing
With the rise and fall of life so delicate and imposing.

Call now to breast, the infants and young, whose paintings
Color the different foundations of all that could be again
When those who know how to live, lifts voice and sings
Serenading the flowers, the trees, the fauna and the grains
Stand up and bow low, as the heavens come down at last
Tho' listen to the warnings for gods divine oft' get heady
And lose sight of their creations, for the sake of their own ass
For all the bones strewn with flesh make haste and confetti
Out of the world that Life so gently transcribed with no islets
But come the rivers and the boundaries and the bars and posts
Defending territory neither claimed nor earned by honest bets
Laid to waste upon the dead and dying, and life seems so lost
Gods at war, while life spins so delicate, ends opposing
Ends the spring and drive in the winters ice, exposing

I sit aside and wade the day into twilight, contemplating things
Like the way she died upon the sands and he screamed his pains
Or how the baby held onto the fragile ends of tattered strings
And the widow learned how to look up and find love again
Yet, there upon the horizons, a shadow is faintly cast
And I know the storms are rolling in, as the gods sit ready
But this Ive mentioned earlier and so find no need to ask
Or debate the truths turned fiction turned true until unsteady
Earth loses momentum, angels raise their sharpened bayonets
While man declines the peace newly born and so all is lost
Despite how hard Life tries to paint with colors and amulets
Given to the creatures under its apron, dying beneath the frost
Life tried to spin so delicate, now life is dry and decomposing
Laying down my pen, I must appreciate this worlds closing.

Oh wow...full of rich imagery and words. And also slightly dark, and yet very interesting to read. Very well done. :)
