I watch as you lay sleeping
my spirit always peeping
upon your smoothest brow
I place a kiss to allow
your heavenly grace to shine.

In folds of gentle nighttime
I find you simply sublime
and I can't desert the moon
who shines so deftly on you
as I pull you close, you're mine.

These eyes refuse to shut
I can think of nothing but
the way you sleep so sound
Inside I feel so proud
That this love could be divine.

The dawn approaches quiet
emotions all up in riots
As you awake you give me a smile
making the day all worthwhile
And I'm thankful, you are mine.
