Blinking lights twinkle and fade and all that was has gone away; Trinkets and follies, along with dollies not up in the attic, but shoved away where no light can reach them and shadows lengthen gray.
Stars aren't heaven but a trap in disguise endless and brutal, those midnight eyes; blinking and spellbinding, but never the same when relentless and senseless, they fade away...
Blinking lights glitter and twitter like smiles shining and blinding and all the while - aching and breaking, the shadows grow cold when the lights go out and all fades away.

Definately a bit of a darkness in this poem. I sense that the speaker has given up on their faith in beautiful things (or seemingly beautiful as the case may be). A very interesting write here. I really enjoyed this!
