An "oldie" !!!

Christmas in a Box


I cant wait until 12th night,
To take the tinsel down.
The Christmas trees all dusty,
And the needles are all brown.

The carpets full of glitter,
Its treading everywhere.
Our fairy lights have blown a fuse,
And we havent got a spare.

Theres candle wax all down the wall,
Ill have to get a scraper.
Though, what Ill do about the stain,
Well just have to re-paper.

Our Christmas is now tucked away,
Until it comes once more.
In boxes, tins and carrier bags,
And in every other drawer.

Well still have all our memories, though,
Of all the fun we had.
These things cannot be stored away,
Without them, wed be sad.

Our living room is looking bare,
Of that there is no doubt.
11 months to go before
It all, once more, comes out!

How brilliantly cute and warm!

My tree was down on New Years Day!! Well, by the afternoon, that is!
