Lamplight, reflecting off morning frost Casts an orange glow in the morning darkness A tiny bit of warmth In the chill The sun has not shown Her sleepy head Though an amber tint Colours the distant sky Beyond the horizon Heralding the dawn And the promise of a new day How I welcome this greeting And I smile As I head off Into the brightening morn Thankful for the constant things And grateful that my time is now.

Simply gorgeous! Great imagery in the beginning and a great bit of truth in the end. Such a pleasure to read. :)
