ART

The art of Art is creative spirit
Knowing how to string emotions
Into ideas and twist those strings
Into ropes with which to swing
From proverbial trees.

Find a metaphor in the street
And a simile on a strangers face
Hasten the mind to look deep
And then forget how to swim
And forget how to breathe.

Make a masterpiece from destruction
Even if it means using blood as ink
Turn about face, conquer the darkness
And learn that Art is the sake of artistry
When the soul is free.

very nice
it's rhythmic and jolly biggrin.gif
2nd stanza is my favorite. very creative and inspired.
I don't understand "masterpiece of destruction" but the line next to it suits Lord Alfred Douglas' saying:
'All good poetry is forged slowly and patiently, link by link, with sweat, blood and tears'
or how W.Carlos Williams shortly said: 'Nothing whips my blood like verse'
so you're on the same page there
beautiful ending
last line is quite to my liking and I can relate to it very well. I am a fan of arts, so I treasure this poem very much, especially written with such wording skill.
Thank you for sharing it with me. Cheers

Good morning to you both.
thank you for reading and replying.

I see what you mean about the "masterpiece of destruction" so I changed it back to how I originally had it. Now it makes more sense.

Again, thank you.

So true this poem, so true. :) I too enjoyed the rhythm, very happy. And the picture is also amazing! It links with your poem so well. Very much enjoyed. :)
