She Plucked the Rose (my first ever rondeau)

She plucked the rose with petals white
That night she bathed in the moon
Silent within his arms so tight
She sighed him the nightingales swoon
Once locked within her heart of night

And he with eyes of stars alight
Beckoned her closer to twilight
Her spine shivered in his croon -
She plucked the rose

She leaned in closer, bare and light
Of all within her mind affright
Fire burned within her monsoon
Loves joining lips never part soon
Slowly fell the petals of white -
She plucked the rose

Very well done for a first ever!!
I dont' think I've ever attempted a rondeau..... Not sure I could pull it off.
You've done so just right.....

Kudos,

You should try one. If you think of a four syllable line that you really like enough to have it repeat (and make it important to the poem), then use that as your refrain. The rest should follow easily. :) Thanks for your reply.
