10 O'clock news and I can't believe what I heard your face etched on the screen As I'm struggling for words...
It was just the other day, you saw I was struggling and sent me a smile and a joke to make the day smoother.
We clearly cannot see into the hidden lives of others, how masks are worn to protect themselves. But how could you do it? Just pull the trigger like that - Suicide is sinful, but Murder?
The air of unease it palpable and hushed sure some knew the unpleasantries behind your closed doors.
But to see you on the nighttime news to hear what you had done - How could you do it? Just pull out a gun?
Did she truly deserve it? Your wife and partner? Where her crimes so bad that now your child is left parentless and lost?
Perhaps you will find atonement where ever murderers go. Perhaps you will find appeasement from the suicidal blow.
But damn, how could you do it? And leave us all staring at the screen Murder then suicide Could life have been so mean?
For you to pull the trigger, evil with a gun did you consider what you were doing and what would happen to your son?
10 O'clock news, staring at the photo can't believe what I'm hearing or what I've seen.
*In honor of the tragedy to break a rather peaceful community's connection. Two valued employees at SRMC, where I work. To his Wife - May you reach your heaven and watch over your son. And to Zeke - There are no words to say to express how the hell you could do such a selfish thing. I know I never would have thought this kind of demon was in you. May you find peace.*

Poe, I don't know what to say. I am sorry for your losses. This poem...it left me more than speechless...it left me heartbroken and swimming in the truth. But I'm sure what I'm feeling isn't close to being nearly as bad as what you and others felt. Now it's time to sort it all out, and see who was to blame...though I guess in a sense, both of them had fault. Hope things work out for you dear.

The hospital as a company is tight lipped about it, they've managed to keep our name out of the papers and no reporters have been around to ask questions. But we as co-workers and friends are still left a bit out of sorts. Some of us really liked Zeke, he was a joyous person on the outside, despite whatever hells he lived on in the inside, and now... With the question of what really happened, who really pulled the trigger first.. It's a sad sad thing. I feel mostly for their family, they have two children and the daughter just found out she is pregnant, to go thru so much at such a tender time.... heartbreaking. You see it on the news every day, but when it's someone you know.... Strange.

Very true, it is strange when it's someone you know. Wow...that's very sad...I wonder how they're going to cope. But if they're a strong family, they'll come through I'm sure. Good Evening Lady Poe, sending you warmth, at a strange and difficult time. Your words, after hearing of such events are remarkable. Sometimes we don't know what is going on inside, or behind close doors. No doubt things will come to light in the next few days. Whatever happens, remember him for the person you knew.
So, does that mean you're going to go to this one? You'll be surprised how good you feel after funerals, because you've let it all out. Anyways, I hope things go well for you.
