SENYRU

It appears that a Senyru is the same format of a Haiku only it does not entail natural emphasis. Consisting of 3 lines with the syllable pattern of 5 -7 -5 the poet can stretch the mind to limitless reaches and create a Senyru about anything.

Happy Writing.

Oh, wretched and limp
Torn asunder by regret
In love with ruin.

Ohh, very deep and though provoking Poe. I have found something interesting about senryu. Accroding to this link (which I will paste at the bottom), a senryu is not based on syllables, but something called moraes. That is what confuses me because I have never found a really solid definition for what moraes are. smile.gif . Anyways, take a look. :)

ok, I haven't been able to untangle myself from the question of what the hell is a morae, sounds like syllables to me... But anyhoo.... I'm writing a senyru in easy format......

Pulsating darkness
Inundated by the sounds
Of breathless breathing.
